Why this applies to you: You hold time-limited permission, so employers, landlords and banks will ask you to prove it online.

Why this next?

Almost every other setup step — renting, working, banking — asks you to prove your status. Without it you will be blocked repeatedly.

What it unlocks: Right to work, right to rent, banking and employer checks.

How to do it

  1. Create or sign in to your UKVI account.
  2. Check your eVisa shows the correct name, date of birth and conditions.
  3. Save a share code and note its expiry date.
  4. Report any error in your record before you need to use it.
